As President of this consulting firm, I provide consulting services to various health care institutions including hospitals, clinics, surgical day care centers, veterinary hospitals, Methadone clinics and health centers as well as ground, rotor and fixed wing air ambulances that provide emergency and critical care transport services.
Consulting services include review, assessment and enhancement of existing controlled substance inventory control systems to ensure compliance with federal and state statutes and to ensure that controlled substance record keeping, security and accountability are being maintained in accordance with federal and state law.
Conduct drug diversion investigations on behalf of health care institutions to determine source of drug theft and/or fraud. Investigations are performed in conjunction with examinations conducted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), State Police, Department of Public Health (DPH) and/or the Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS).
Provider of continuing education seminars for Nurses, Pharmacists, Anesthesiologists, Physicians, EMTs, EMT-Paramedics and other health care professionals surrounding drug diversion, controlled substance security and record keeping and other related regulatory compliance matters. Participate in monthly Nursing orientation programs for client hospitals who have recently hired nurses for their institution.
Represent health care institutions at employee union arbitration hearings as well as in litigation proceedings where health care providers have been disciplined or terminated for failing to adhere to federal and state controlled substance laws and regulations.
